Portrait Photography

I look for what is real and essential – the essence that appears in a person’s eyes, the gesture of a hand, the way my subject occupies the space they are in.

I definitely like to design the photo shoot to fit your needs. I love meeting new people, getting to know them. Seeing how the light falls across their faces. What their interests are. I look to every detail of the setting and the subject.

A basic shoot takes 1-2 hours. Plus post production. More complicated shoots take longer and cost more.

Advertising Photography

I also very much enjoy product and advertising photography. An example is this shot for "The Iris Lariat Collection.” As always, photo shoots are designed to meet the needs of you; your product, and your company.

Photo Shoot Locations

I tend to listen to people to find the perfect location for their photo shoot. I do work mainly in the Boulder/Denver area, although I am willing to travel under certain circumstances. I shoot both in my studio and on location. I love working outdoors, where we can blend the natural light with reflectors and strobes, and take advantage of the beautiful backdrops that Colorado offers to us. But, for more controlled conditions, where you might need a seamless background for instance, my studio is always available. And, of course, I am happy to come to your home or business. Whatever fits your needs.
